Thoroughlly enjoyed SETT last week and managed to get quite a few ideas for projects that I’d like to start up. One of them is to use i Can Animate – software used for animation (as the more discerning reader may have surmised). I have a few ideas about developing the idea of a storyboard within our school topic. Just wondering if anyone has ever used this software before, or if anyone would be interested in working together to have a go or share ideas? I am excited about the prospect of using it, I just need to go and try to convince my headteacher it is a good idea now!

I have used I can animate a bit with P3 and an isight camera, they had great fun, but we didn’t try anything big. We used comiclife, saved as jpegs then imported into imovie, though.

I haven’t used I can animate, but I have used iStopMotion, the Mac programme which is relatively easy.

You can see an example of one of these films on our PiE website – Sous la mer was made at summer school over a couple of days.
